Diapers with adjustable hip bands have to be activated before putting them on:
- Take a diaper out of the packaging.
- Unfold the product, gently stretch it and fold it lengthwise in half.
Note: Do not twist the product. Thanks to the activation of the product, the absorbent core will become more fluffed and better prepared for absorption.
Put the activated diaper with the absorbent part to the buttocks so that the hip bands are at the top. Wrap the hips with the hip bands starting with the left one. On the right hip band there is a hoop&loop fastener with the use of which you can adjust the waist size of a diaper.
Note: the hip bands should be well-adjusted – they cannot be too tight or too loose.
After you fasten the right hip band with the hoop&loop fastener, put the diaper between the legs and pull it out to the front. Fasten the front of the diaper to the hip band with two combi-tape fasteners. Make sure that the diaper fits well to the body and does not dig into the groin, check also the standing side gathers – they shouldn’t be folded.
Note: you can unfasten the front of a diaper and refasten it if necessary.
Roll up the used diaper and put it in the bin. Do not dispose of the used product into the toilet.
Stand at the edge of the bed and bend one leg at the knee.
Note: if you are on the patient’s right hand side bend the left leg; if you are on the patient’s left hand side bend the right leg.
Turn the person to one side, and after taking care of the hygiene, place the activated diaper behind the patient. Slowly put the patient down on the diaper. Adjust the hip bands to the patient’s waist. Start with the left band and then take the right one – after adjusting, fasten it with the hoop&loop fastener placed at the end of the right band.
Note: the hip bands should be well-adjusted – they cannot be too tight or too loose.
Pull up the front part of the diaper and adjust it in the groin part. Fasten the front of the diaper to the hip band with two combi-tape fasteners. Make sure that the diaper fits well to the body and does not dig into the groin, check also standing side gathers – they shouldn’t be folded.
Note: you can unfasten the front of a diaper and refasten it if necessary.
Roll up the used diaper and put it in the bin. Do not dispose of the used product into the toilet.
